ARMAMENT
1. Only primary guns can be armed.
2. Prototype weapon vs projectile size (Gun size will be rounded off to
nearest 3 inch- 7 inch = 3/16 inch
8 inch- 20 inch = 1/4 inch
NOTE: The basic gun barrel length calculation is Bore x Caliber. 5 inch x 38
Cal 5x38 = 190 inches 1/72nd scale 190 divided by 72 = 2.6389 inches
3. Gun barrel length showing must not exceed scale by more than 15%.
4. Aircraft Carrier 1/4 inch guns are allowed no depression.
5. To enhance scale appearance hidden fixed guns are allowed under the
following conditions.
a. May be mounted off to the side of the scale weapon only far enough to
allow the shot to clear the weapon.
b. May not be mounted in such a manner as to increase the arc of fire or as
an attempt to gain any type of tactical advantage.
c. 1/4 inch flight deck guns on aircraft carriers must be mounted to the
underside of the flightdeck firing forward. Barrel length is not specified.
Ammunition allotment is three rounds per aircraft carried.
FIRE CONTROL / SINGLE SHOT WEAPON
As there is no rate of fire requirement currently in effect the vessels weapons
must be in compliance to pass technical certification.
1. All weapons must be single shot.
2. Fully automatic weapons (machine guns) are not allowed.
3. The weapon must only fire once when the fire control switch is activated.
COMPRESSED GAS
1. The only compressed gasses authorized for use are CO2and onboard
compressor driven compressed air.
2. Technical Certification must be completed before any ship may enter
combat or event involving the firing of projectiles.
GUN PENETRATION TEST
1. High density insulation foam (pink) will be the only medium used for
determining gun penetration. The foam must be held within six inches of the
muzzle. A gun is acceptable for event use if it does not fire through two
inches of the foam.
